General Manager for Israel, Visa

Oded Salomy leads a team that looks after Visa’s business partners in Israel, including issuers and acquirers of Visa cards, retailers, regulators, early stage technology companies and other members of the Israel tech ecosystem. His role is to bridge between stakeholders in Israel with Visa Business Units, to maintain leadership locally and to introduce new services to make Visa more efficient and productive for its client and stakeholders. Oded is critical to implementing Visa Europe’s strategy of displacing cash and checks with Visa payment methods in Israel, along with maintaining client satisfaction, innovation and partnership for growth opportunities.

As the head of Visa’s Tel Aviv Innovation Center, Oded leads engagement with early stage and other technology players with a view to identifying and working with new technologies that will impact Visa and its value chain.  In this capacity Oded also leads innovation-oriented engagement with Visa clients from multiple markets who seek innovation solutions in Tel Aviv.

Mr. Salomy is an executive with a strong history of relationship management and business development across a wide range of services and products. He has worked both in the U.S. and in Israel, and has been with Visa since 2010.
Prior to joining Visa, Oded spent eight years with high technology companies, including a startup that he founded, providing mobile payment solutions and multiple other services in taxicabs.  

Oded was raised in the U.S.A. and obtained his BA with honors from Harvard University.  Oded is President Emeritus of the Harvard Club of Israel, an alumni association with over 1,000 graduates.  In addition, Oded obtained his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an Editor of The Law Review.  

Oded is married to Keren and is the father of three children.

He is fluent in Hebrew and English.
